Our classic Camp Collar Shirt gets a unique update in a limited-edition collab with The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Todd’s reimagined the traditional silhouette with a boxier, ever-so-slightly cropped fit and a silky tencel fabric, resulting in a shirt that’s meant to drape well and show off your trousers. The shorter length also serves to balance the collaged print in a chic, modern way. Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853–1890) painted a number of still lifes of boots and shoes during his Paris period, but this particular artwork — Shoes (1888) — was painted later, in Arles, against the red-tile floor of the Yellow House. Fun fact: it’s thought that these shoes may have belonged to Patience Escalier, whose portrait Van Gogh completed around the same time.

As part of its mission to bring art to life, The Metropolitan Museum of Art invited Todd to design a series of wearable works of art. “The colors and brushstrokes of Van Gogh feel incredibly modern, incredibly relevant,” says Todd of the permanent collection pieces he chose to adapt for this unique collaboration.
